What is IPv6 ULA Generator?

An IPv6 ULA generator creates Unique Local Address prefixes (fc00::/7 range, typically fd00::/8) for private networks. ULAs are the IPv6 equivalent of RFC 1918 private IPv4 ranges.

The 40-bit Global ID is randomly generated using the Web Crypto API for cryptographic quality randomness, following RFC 4193 recommendations.

FAQ

What is a ULA address?
ULA (Unique Local Address) is an IPv6 address range (fd00::/8) for private use, similar to 192.168.x.x in IPv4.
Should I use ULA or GUA for my network?
ULA is for internal-only networks. For internet-facing services, use GUA (Global Unicast Addresses) assigned by your ISP.
